Canary Islands Portfolio:
Sergio Villalba Morales Portfolio
Being a local photographer in an unspoiled land of inspiring beauty and heavy surf, Sergio Villalba Morales knows the moods of the Canary Islands like few others, and he has the insane images to prove it. Eighteen pages of (mostly empty) waves and color from Sergio’s homeland, presented in very large format, are offered for your extended staring pleasure.
Our last surf trip just got published on Spain’s 3sesenta and Atlantic Airways inflight magazine.
Go grab a copy if you can!
Our friends on Prisa Revistas picked one of our photos for the cover of Trasmediterranea’s onboard mag last issue.
Sergio shot that photo a few years back. To achieve it he placed the camera on the highest part of the mast, hanging from a Manfrotto’s magic arm and waited to be on the open sea surrounded by the pilot whales to release the shutter remotely.
There’s yet another of his photos inside the mag as a full page opening an outdoor sports article. That’s Manuel Lezcano doing his master move in Caleta Caballo (Lanzarote) on an epic light afternoon.

You know we love visiting strange places and so the guys at Surf Europe do. That’s probably why they included one of our favourite trips ever on their definite crazy destinations list.

This Drama is Canary Islands’ most international and prolific punk rock band. They’ve toured the USA and Europe a couple of times and played on some pretty big stages with a bunch of bands you probably listen to on your iPod. Maybe you’ve even listened their song “She had a knife” on Tony Hawks video game!
We’ve been friends for quite a while and we’ve produced some of their promotional imagery over the last few years.
Their last album, called ‘the wasted youth‘ and released on CD and limited edition vinyl under Deep Elm Records, has a cover photo that Sergio shot on a road trip to Portugal.
